Dr. Christensen has been a part of the Fogg Remington EyeCare group since 1992. Originally from Clovis, Dr. Christensen attended California State University, Fresno prior to earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry. During this time he has provided care to thousands of patients ranging from comprehensive eye care, the diagnosis and treatment of external and internal eye diseases, and pre/postoperative care of surgical patients. Dr. Christensen received FDA Certification in December 2003 for the fitting of Paragon CRT lenses used for corneal refractive therapy and myopia control. Other areas of interest are the fitting of soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses, including highly customized scleral contact lenses using the latest in sMap technology, for both healthy eyes and eyes requiring specialty lenses for anomalies such as keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, corneal dystrophies, and corneal irregularities due to corneal surgery. Dr. Christensen enjoys spending his free time with family and friends, along with hiking, fishing and hunting. He is a member of the California Deer Association, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a Lifetime Member of the National Rifle Association.
